On the Mat & Off the Mat: An introduction to Integral Yoga Yoga is a tool for life & positive change. In this 10-class series explore the foundations of Integral Yoga. Develop and refine the well-known yogic techniques of asana (posture) and pranayama (breath/energy work) & experience the profound effects of a regular Yoga Nidra practice (deep relaxation).Integral Yoga?s approach is systematic and holistic. It addresses all aspects of our life?our physical wellbeing, the state of our minds and hearts, and even how we engage with the world. In this 10-part series expand your experience of postures and breath work and witness firsthand how the purification, awareness & focus and they bring us on the mat can sustain our ?yoga-ing? off the mat, in our everyday life. This style of Yoga is classical and common-sensical. We work with where you are and move from there. There is effort but no strain: no pretzel postures or ?sweating bullets?.There is fun but no frills: if and when needed simple props are used. No heated rooms, no loud music. Our practice on the mat is a time for us to become still and steady as we move, breathe, unwind and expand.
