Cars & Coffee: Celebrating Woodies

On Saturday June 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the Seal Cove Auto Museum invites the public to join them for their second Cars & Coffee gathering of 2022, Cars & Coffee: Celebrating Woodies. 
 
Since the introduction of transportation wood has been a medium used in a variety of ways; from canoes, boats, and airplane frames, early bicycles, and the wide the variety of wooden bodied automobiles affectionately referred to as “woodies.”
 
Seal Cove invites all wooden bodied autos, cycles, small boats, or miscellaneous modes of transportation to journey to the museum for this featured event. While the event focuses on woodies, all specialty automobiles are welcome to exhibit and the public (exhibitors included!) are welcome free of charge. 
 
Admission to the museum and featured exhibits is free to all during the hours of the event. Light refreshments are offered at no charge including coffee, locally baked donuts from Honey and Lace Baking Company, fruit, and juices. 
 
The Seal Cove Auto Museum’s Cars & Coffee events are family-friendly and welcoming to all with or without a specialty automobile. 
 
“Cars & Coffee events are a wonderful way to share the museum with the public and welcome a variety of exhibitors’ specialty cars. These fun, community-based events offer an unparalleled opportunity to talk with car owners and enthusiasts and even get a special peek under the hoods of a variety of vehicles. We are pleased to host these wonderful gatherings throughout the season,” said Executive Director Ethan Yankura. 
 
Additional Cars & Coffee events are scheduled throughout the season, the second Cars & Coffee during the month of June is Seal Cove Auto Museum’s Electric Car Day on June 25.

Located at 1414 Tremont Rd. in Seal Cove, Maine, the Seal Cove Auto Museum is home to a landmark collection of exceptional Brass Era automobiles. Seal Cove is open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily from May 1 through October 31.
