Description
Participants will carve a simple, small alabaster sculpture, (from block to polishing) during this 6 hour class. Alabaster is a soft stone and can be carved by filing and sawing. Carving, polishing, and finishing techniques will be used to create a small sculpture in this beautiful, lustrous, media. We will look to nature for inspiration and carve a simplified, abstracted, organic form. All materials included.
