Cozy Felted Koozies

Description

Using colorful natural wool fiber, moisture, detergent and hands-on agitation, you will learn a few different felting techniques to create a washable and reusable koozie for a mason jar or favorite mug. Felting is the process by which unspun animal fibers exposed to water and agitation grab onto each other to create a dense and solid fabric. Mason jars and fiber are provided, favorite mugs are on you ;) Ages 5 and up (under 10 need an adult partner). Instructor: Carrie Eason. NOTE: All outdoor classes are weather-dependent; we will make the call in the morning by 9 am. Also, because of safety issues with COVID-19, there will be no restroom facilities available. All participants must wear a mask or other nose & mouth covering (scarf, bandana) during class. Please do not attend programs if you have any symptoms or are feeling ill.
