Creating Fabric Landscapes with Emily Owens Spend Earth Day making art! ArtWaves 1345A Hwy 102 Town Hill Bar Harbor and Eagle Lake Trail Saturday April 22nd 10:00am to 2:00pm To Register: https://artwavesmdi.org/event-5206877 Member – $60.00 Non-Member – $70.00 Spring Promo-Member – $90.00 Buy One, Get One 50% Off. Students will start the class at Eagle Lake Carriage Road (Eagle Lake Rd, Bar Harbor, ME 04609) with an easy observation walk, discussing composition and horizon lines. Tools to sketch the landscape will be provided. After a 30 minute lunch break/picnic, we will reconvene at ArtWaves where fabric will be waiting for us to cut up and sew our sketches. Students can make use of sewing machines, embroidery materials, and fabric glue to compose their landscapes. By the end of the class, students will have a wall hanging or the beginnings of a quilt.
