Ecstatic Yoga

Description

An Ecstatic Dance-Yoga Fusion Practice to welcome in peace, playfulness, and presence in your body. 

You can expect a brief opening circle, a yoga warm up to drop into your body, an ecstatic dance portal in the middle, a yoga cool down with yin stretches, and an opportunity to reflect at the end. Ecstatic dance is a free form, somatic movement practice that involves allowing your body to move to music without structure or rules. The yoga practice will help tap you into your body and create a safe container for authentic expression of your body through movement and sound. There is no right or wrong way to dance ecstatically, you do not need any experience! 

Jess will curate an intentional playlist that rides a bell-curve - starting slow, getting more exciting in the middle, and winding down toward the end. 

Jess' intention is to cultivate a safe space for people to have fun, be curious with their bodies, and release any stagnant energy that may be holding them back. 

This practice welcomes everyone of any age and experience level. There is an expectation of respect for each other within the container of this experience - judgement of yourself or others has no place here.
