History Happy Hour: Bar Harbor Ghost Tour

Join fellow members of the Seal Cove Auto Museum and MDI Historical Society
 for a night of spooky history, tales of local ghosts, and Wabanaki spirit stories! 

 
Jen Pictou of Bar Harbor Ghost Tours, one of the top ghost tours in the US, will lead members on a walk quite unlike any ever ventured in downtown Bar Harbor – from a haunted historical theater, to a well-known area in town that is laden with intrigue and mystery, to a haunted pub.
 
According to Bar Harbor Ghost Tours, all of their tours are history-based, and information shared on the tours has been collected from personal interview, archives, historical societies, and museums.
 
The walking tour will kick off at the 1932 Criterion Theatre on Cottage Street at 5:00 p.m. The tour will last about an hour and end at Leary’s Landing on Main Street, where members will have the opportunity to imbibe local spirits, catch up with other members, and ask questions of Pictou, and MDI Historical Society and Seal Cove Auto Museum staff. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

This evening is part of the History Happy Hour series geared toward members of both museums and their friends. Nonmembers can join both the Seal Cove Auto Museum and the MDI Historical Society at a special dual rate of $50.
 
Bar Harbor in mid-October can be misty and chilly, so members are advised to bring a jacket and umbrella. Wear comfortable shoes and layers to accommodate variances in temperature and weather.
