Rediscovering the Collective Body: Choreographic Tapestries
Beginning with the proposition that we are already inherently connected, we will investigate how the structures of set choreographic movements can inform, affect, and be affected by this connection. We will learn and create together in a non-hierarchical, collaborative environment.
This will be a three-hour workshop with breaks as needed, open to all levels. Please bring a journal and writing tool.
Teens and Adults.

i am a white nonbinary transdisciplinary artist and teacher from unceded Peskotomuhkate (“Passamaquoddy”) and Panewapskek (“Penobscot”) land. i received my name, which means “the one who carries [it] along” (i.e., taking a joke “way too far”), from Jesse Bruchac of the Nulhegan Band of Abenakis, and i honour it by teaching and speaking alnôbaôdoa/Western Abenaki at every opportunity. my current research explores selfhood as nexus, and dives into how we can cultivate a movement practice that is gentle, sustainable, kind, and ecologically informed. my studies have included a wide variety of movement methods, such as Graham Technique, contact improvisation, Authentic Movement, ballet, Gaga, contemporary, and circus arts/cirque nouveau. i am grateful to have learned from such considerate movers as Ishmael Houston-Jones, Miguel Gutierrez, Susan Sgorbati, Kieth Hennessey, Netta Yureshalmy, Tommy DeFrantz, Deborah Black, Kathleen Hermesdorf, Cassils, and many others. my practice is heavily informed by chronic illness, queerness, and neurodivergence, and is deeply rooted in healing through anti-colonialism and reindigenisation.
