Join vocalist Kate Hall and pianist Vivian Hyde for “Some Enchanted Afternoon: An Afternoon of Musical Theater through the Decades” at the Jesup Memorial Library on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. This concert is part of the Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series.
Hall grew up in Waldo County and attended the University of Southern Maine, graduating with honors and a bachelor of music in vocal performance. After college Hall moved to midcoast Maine where she has found joy and fulfillment as an active musician and actress performing at many theatrical venues including The Grand (Mary Poppins and The Producers), Midcoast Actors Studio (Arms and the Man), Bagaduce Theater Company (All My Sons, Shakespeare Moliere Love and All that Jazz), Camden Opera House (The Night Kitchen and Mozart in Maine), and New Surry Theater (The Browning Version). She also performs in a jazz combo called “The Three” and will be Adolfo Pirelli in Some Theatre Company's April production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Hall lives in Ellsworth.
Hyde, a pianist, vocal director and musical director, has been involved in choral music, church music, musicals, concerts, recitals and more than fifty musical and makes music with children, teens, and adults as well as her own three children.
This concert is free and open to the public. Seating is provided on a first come, first served basis and the doors to this concert open at 1:30 p.m. There are two Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series concerts in March. The first is a St. Patrick’s Day concert with The Crow’s Nest Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. and the second is Classical with a Modern Twist with Ed Liu and Basile Tarchini on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.
