Have you ever seen a more distinguished gentleman?! Blix is a 2 ½-year-old pittie mix and a certified handsome-pants! This young fellow is full of spunk and energy. Though he appears very calm in his kennel at first glance, the second he hits the grass outdoors, he’s ready to PLAY! Blixy is one of our Fab 5 state seizure rescues who is desperate to ditch shelter life for a home where he can be a young, playful, doggy. He has been through more in his 2 years of life than some humans experience in their entire lives. He has more than earned a life of comfort, happiness, and unconditional love. Blix has successfully socialized with other animals before his time at the SPCA-HC and while in our care. He is a big boy, so his playmates and companions must be comfortable with his size and energy levels. Treats are this pup’s best friend and work wonders in redirecting excited, young dog energy. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, had full bloodwork and urinalysis done, is treated for fleas and ticks, and 4DX tested. He has gained over 10 pounds since being in our care and has now reached a healthy weight that he is maintaining. This pup has muscles now and loves to use them for running, playing, and adventuring! There aren’t enough words to express how hopeful we are that someone will come along and finally give this baby the life he deserves.
