PET OF THE WEEK

With Adopt a Senior Pet Month coming to an end, we must introduce you to Depp! He is a senior and we estimate his age to be around 9 years old. Our little Deppy-deer needs a home that is comfortable and committed to his senior medical needs. Depp has hypothyroidism that is currently being treated with a twice daily medication that goes in his breakfast and dinner. Speaking of meals, Depp eats a prescription diet of Hill’s L/D, which supports the liver. This diet can be reassessed at a later time, as his most recent blood work shows an improvement in his liver values. This handsome pup also gets a non-prescription joint supplement with his dinner. One of the great things about Depp is that he takes his medications easy as pie and will eat just about anything! Depp has had multiple full senior blood work panels and urinalysis completed which is where his treatment plan has been developed from. Alright, enough about the medical stuff! Depp is a gentle, silly senior pup who has had to overcome unimaginable circumstances. Despite everything he’s been through, Depp has continued to be a happy-go-lucky gentleman who simply wants a soft place to land. His favorite thing in the world is “sunbathing” when he goes outside on a nice warm day! He’s happy with short walks, being a couch potato, snacks, and attention. Deppy-doodle-doo will make a great, calm companion for the right person.
