    PET OF THE WEEK

We are very pleased to introduce our purrfect 3-legged kitty resident, Mr. Nubbins! What he lacks in a hind right leg, he makes up for in heart. This absolute love bug came into our care, from stray holding, so we unfortunately do not know anything about his history, or how he lost his hind leg, but the vet believes he was born with it that way. Our best estimate at his age is around 3 years old. He is a vocal cat who loves telling people all about his day while they pet his soft fur and give him attention. An obvious question you may have is if his missing leg impacts my daily routines… while shelter staff have not seen him in a home setting, he gets around at the shelter very well! Simply put, he walks like he’s missing one of his legs, but he can get where he needs or wants to go in my own special way. Mr. Nubbins loves belly rubs and attention, but is more protective of his missing limb being touched than other spots. He would love to find a home where he can settle in and get spoiled with shoulder scratchies for the rest of his days! Attention and lots of affection are a must for him.
