Pet of the Week: Placido (2/27/2025)

PET OF THE WEEK

Placido is an adorable, fluffy little guy who is around 9-10 months old and looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to learn and grow. He came from a situation where he wasn’t introduced to leashes or collars, so everything is still very new to him. Thanks to the dedicated staff at the shelter, he’s making progress and learning to enjoy his outdoor adventures.

Placido is working on potty training and does well with reusable pee pads (though he prefers shredding the disposable ones!). Since he’s still building his confidence, he can be a little shy at first, but with gentle, slow introductions, he warms up and shows his sweet, cuddly side. Once he trusts you, he loves to snuggle and will be a wonderful, affectionate companion. He has lived with other animals and has a great likelihood of integrating with other pets. Placido and the furiends he came to us with have exhibited some food insecurity that he is working on.
