PET OF THE WEEK

Zooey (pronounced Zoo-ee) is a sweet kitty looking for a quiet home… but not too quiet! When she isn’t mimicking a loaf of bread, Zooey is also a curious kitty who enjoys taking her time exploring new spaces and toys. She would love a nice window perch to safely observe the world from, and lots of interactive toys would make this gal quite happy! We unfortunately do not know any background on Zooey, as she was abandoned. Zooey hasn't been the biggest fan of other cats while here at the shelter, so she would do best as the only cat, or with a patient family willing to do very slow, proper introductions. Zooey is the biggest lovebug when it comes to people! She perks up the moment someone is near and will often show her belly when they approach her, but BEWARE - it’s the tummy trap! She loves kicker toys and plays like a kitten when catnip gets thrown into the mix. Food is typically a big motivator for kitties, but this girl doesn’t care about snacks and treats if there is a perfectly good hand nearby to pet her; love and attention are all she is seeking.
